Early transmission dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 in Indonesia

The objective of this study was to determine the transmission dynamics severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and evaluate vigilance health system during early phase disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in Indonesia. epidemiology chains COVID-19 were analyzed based on data from Directorate General Disease Prevention Control Indonesian Ministry Health. results shown although Indonesia is a country with high relative importation risk SARS-CoV-2, first two cases identified March 2, 2020. This relatively late date by regional standards raises possibility undetected beforehand. case foreigner citizen who visited capital city Jakarta later diagnosed after returning One week case, 27 confirmed had been reported Indonesia, majority clustered together. Apart underdetection country, government has strengthened surveillance established an preparedness diagnose control COVID-19.
